D49 Notice of Intent (NOI)

Homeschool families residing within D49, to be compliant with CO Homeschool Law, must submit a NOI each school year for their family, IF parents are the teacher of record (Option 1-CO Homeschool Law).

There are several options for submitting your Notice of Intent to Homeschool (NOI) to District 49 depending on your student’s current situation:

Withdrawing student(s) from a D49 school:

Submit your NOI directly the school that the student is being withdrawn from along with your completed paperwork 

Continuing homeschool student, current part-time student of a D49 enrichment program, new to D49, withdrawing from another school district or other situation not listed (3 options):

By email: Scan and email to registration@d49.org

By mail: 3850 Pony Tracks Drive, Colorado Springs, CO, 80922, attention "Central Registration"

Drop off in person: D49 Registration Office at 3850 Pony Tracks Drive, Colorado Springs CO 80922

Please Note: 

  • You must submit the NOI form 14 days before beginning the homeschool program.
  • You must resubmit the NOI form each homeschool year.
  • By filling out the NOI you are the teacher of record with the State of Colorado.  You are responsible for your student's education, including but not limited to books, supplies, tests, and maintaining permanent records.
